This particular rock was a huge feature in my early beach childhood, literally and metaphorically. It was a rock pooling dream, a fearsome mountain to be scaled, and also a serious obstacle in a pretty nice looking, but treacherous reef break (that I only dared mindsurf). Here’s to you, Black Rock.
